Richard Street is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who practices in public and private in Auckland. His public hospital practice is at Middlemore. He specialises in lower limb disorders in paediatric and adult patients.

For many years, he has been involved in New Zealand Orthopaedic Association’s dealings with the Accident Compensation Corporation, previously chairing this committee, and has helped form constructive relationships with ACC, helping to guide their strategies.
He has also been involved in many national orthopaedic department reviews and credentialing processes, and was instrumental in starting the Ministry of Health Enhanced Recovery After Surgery process. He also has an interest in health planning, economics and process.
