I have practiced Orthopaedic Surgery in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada for 28 years with a subspecialty interest in joint arthroplasty and trauma. I serve as Chief, Division of Orthopaedics, Zone 1, Nova Scotia Provincial Health Authority.
I am an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Dalhousie University. I have been a past examiner in Orthopaedics for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
As a sports enthusiast, I have served as the team physician in the American Hockey League for the Edmonton Oilers’ farm team, The Cape Breton Oilers. I was co-chair of the medical team for the World Junior Hockey Tournament hosted in Nova Scotia. I continue to serve as team physician for the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
As a classically trained pianist I am a member of the Cape Breton Orchestra and the Cape Breton Chorale. I have been a church organist for over 45 years. I continue to study piano performance and have given solo recitals.
I am married to Anne and we have five children who are now completing university studies
