Jong-Keon Oh is currently the Professor at the Department of Orthopedics, Orthopedic Trauma Division, Guro Hospital, Korea University. He is also Director of the Government sponsored Focused Training Center for Trauma, Korea University Guro Hospital and Past Chairperson of AOTrauma Korea.
Jong-Keon Oh has worked extensively as an orthopaedic surgeon, primarily in the trauma field. He was previously the Associate Professor at the Department of Orthopedics, Orthopedic Trauma Division, Ewha Womans University Medical Center (2003–2007), and, at the Department of Orthopedics, Orthopedic Trauma Division, Guro Hospital, Korea University (2007).
After completing his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at College of Medicine, Korea University, Jong-Keon completed Fellowships in Orthopedic Trauma and Pediatrics (Korea University Medical Center) and Orthopedic Trauma and Sports Medicine (Ewha Womans University Medical Center), prior to achieving his AO Fellowship. He has worked extensively in the research field and has published 10 scientific papers internationally as first author and 47 as corresponding or co-author. He has also won numerous research awards including; Best Research Award of the Korean Fracture Society (2011 and 2015). In addition, he has published two books and has presented widely in Australasia.
Jong-Keon Oh has held many Board and Committee Memberships including most recently; Chair of ASEG (Asia-pacific Expert Group) (2018) AO TK Trauma Expert Group (2009) and Member of the Education officer Committee (AOTAP: AO trauma Asia Pacific) (2010–2012). He is also a Member of the Korean Orthopedic Association and Korean Fracture Society
