Located on the rooftop of the Riverbank Stand, the Lindsay Head Terrace provides stunning views over the city and the foothills beyond making a perfect venue to gather and celebrate the commencement of the 2017 AOA Annual Scientific Meeting.

Private Tour of the Art Gallery of South Australia

The Art Gallery of South Australia was founded in 1881 and collects and displays art from Australia, Europe and North America, and Asia. The Gallery has one of the largest art museum collections in Australia, numbering around 38,000 works.

 

Our tour will be guided by the charismatic Director of the Gallery and on conclusion we will enjoy afternoon tea at the Art Gallery Restaurant.

Gardens of the Adelaide Hills

Adelaide is famous for its wine and food however there is another side to Adelaide – ‘Gardens’.   Come and join us where you will visit 2 beautiful gardens in the Adelaide Hills. Two different gardens that have previously been admired and highlighted in Historic Garden and Open Garden visits.  Our tour will be guided by renowned Adelaide garden designer, Virginia Kennett.  Lunch will be held at ‘Crafers Hotel’ a rustic collaboration of old and new; celebrating natural materials such as reclaimed wood, leather, iron, copper and exposed stone to create a cosy, traditional Aussie pub atmosphere with a contemporary dining experience.

WEDNESDAY 11 OCTOBER 2017

Hentley Farm Degustation Lunch, Barossa Valley

Time: 10.30am – 3.00pm

Climb aboard the coach and view Adelaide spectacular scenery on your way to the famous Barossa Valley. Our destination is the famous Hentley Farm. The stables at Hentley Farm, originally built in the 1880s on the banks of Greenock Creek, have been meticulously restored and converted into a contemporary dining room.

Head chef Lachlan Colwill offers menus which are created according to what is abundant, fresh, and of the highest quality. The restaurant has a strong focus on harvesting produce from the farm’s 150 acres, including foraged ingredients growing wild, as well as fruit, vegetables and herbs grown in our garden beds and orchard. All the wines that are matched with the menus are from the Hentley Farm portfolio.

Gala Dinner

Venue: National Wine Centre of Australia

Time: 7pm – Late

 

Cost: $210 per ticket

Dress: Gentleman – suit pants and long sleeve shirt  //  Ladies – evening attire

The evening theme is the 30’s and 40’s so we will provide you with some accessories to wear which can be collected from registration on the day before the Gala dinner.

 

Transfers: Hotel transfers will be available to and from the venue

 

Our Gala dinner will be held at the National Wine Centre of Australia. Situated on the edge of Adelaide's stunning Botanic Gardens the centre combines eye-catching architecture.

 

The National Wine Centre is an architectural treat but what it holds inside is the real attraction.   Our dinner will be held in an amazing room, which has natural lighting and spectacular architecture.    After dinner entertainment will be held on the outdoor terrace.

 

So come along relax and catch up with some old colleagues and make some new ones while you enjoy the famous cuisine and wine of Adelaide.
